2027 ASHRAE Winter Conference

The 2027 ASHRAE Winter Conference will bring together ASHRAE members, engineers, researchers, industry professionals and building experts from around the world in Chicago, from January 23–27, 2027.
As ASHRAE’s largest annual conference, the Winter Conference provides a unique platform for technical learning, professional development, networking and collaboration, combining an extensive technical programme with committee activities and opportunities to engage with the global ASHRAE community.
Technical Programme and Professional Development
The conference will feature more than 100 technical sessions, covering a broad range of topics across HVAC&R and the built environment. The programme includes seminars, forums, workshops, panel discussions, debates and presentations of technical and conference papers.
Key areas include HVAC&R systems and equipment, refrigeration, building performance, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and emerging technologies. Participants attending eligible technical sessions can also earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
Connect with the ASHRAE Community
Beyond the technical programme, the Winter Conference offers numerous opportunities to connect with professionals from across the Society through committee meetings, networking activities and social events.
ASHRAE committee meetings are open to attendees, including guests, providing an excellent opportunity to learn more about the technical and organisational work of the Society and to become more actively involved in ASHRAE.
The conference will open with the Plenary Session on January 23, featuring ASHRAE President Sarah Maston, together with the recognition of ASHRAE Honors and Awards recipients.
2027 AHR Expo
The Winter Conference will once again take place alongside the AHR Expo, running from January 25–27, 2027, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Co-sponsored by ASHRAE, the AHR Expo brings together thousands of HVAC&R professionals, manufacturers and technology providers, offering attendees the opportunity to explore the latest products, solutions and innovations shaping the future of the industry. Access to the AHR Expo is included with paid full-conference registration.
